About

Sixtytwo Hotel

Sixtytwo Hotel occupies a late-19th-century building on Barcelona's grandest boulevard, Passeig de Gracia. The modern interior keeps some historical details, and the location puts you within a short walk of Casa Milà, the Sagrada Família (about 5 minutes by car), and the boutiques and cafés that line the avenue.

The hotel runs a relaxed common lounge where guests can enjoy coffee or flavoured water during the day, and staff are known for thoughtful touches like a welcome drink or a complimentary bottle of cava for celebrations. Rooms are quiet, thanks to soundproofing, and come with coffee machines, air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs.

In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Central Passeig de Gracia address — Steps from Casa Milà, designer shops, and a short stroll to Plaça Catalunya and La Rambla. The Sagrada Família is about 5 minutes away by car.
  • Attentive, personal service — Guests mention welcome drinks, cava for birthdays, umbrellas on rainy days, and staff who explain the room's tech and help with luggage.
  • Comfortable, well-equipped rooms — Soundproofing, coffee machines, air conditioning, and smart lighting. Some rooms add balconies and bathtubs.
  • Relaxed common lounge — A guest-only space with complimentary coffee and flavoured water, plus a spot to unwind during the day.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Breakfast can divide opinion — Some guests find the continental spread limited, without hot dishes, while others praise the à la carte menu and the view over Passeig de Gracia.
  • Entry design is unconventional — The main door is disguised as a wall and opens like shutters, which can be confusing at first—though most guests see it as a quirk rather than a problem.
  • No pets allowed — If you're travelling with a dog or cat, this property isn't suitable.
  • Premium price point — Rates from £719 per night reflect the central location and service, so it may not suit budget-conscious travellers.

“The room was very comfortable, with plenty of pillows, a bathtub, and good amenities, plus robes. The view was nice, and I appreciated the smart lighting system. The 55-inch TV was great for movies. They welcomed me with wine and gummy bears, a lovely touch.”

“We visited in mid-February with a small child and took a taxi from the airport. The location was very convenient—everything is close. The entrance is a bit quirky: the doors are disguised as a wall and open like shutters, but it's more a pleasant surprise than a problem. Breakfast was hearty with cheeses, meats, coffee, bread, fruit, and nuts, but no hot dishes. There are plenty of cafés and a supermarket near Plaça Catalunya. The staff were lovely, provided a crib, and made nice gifts for our child. Great view from the balcony.”

9.1Verified guest

“The room was functional and romantic, with a view. Breakfast was delicious with a view over Passeig de Gracia—the best I had in Barcelona. The location was unbeatable, just 200 metres from Casa Milà.”

9.1Verified guest

“I loved the central yet quiet and safe area. The staff were very helpful—they even lent me an umbrella. Breakfast was very good with a rich menu. There's a rest and welcome room where you can enjoy coffee or lemon/mint water during the day. Wi-Fi worked well, beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and modern with good towels.”

9.1Verified guest

“Location is a short stroll from major attractions. The staff were warm, even giving us a complimentary bottle of cava for my wife's birthday.”
